Joe Russell has been a Certified Arborist since 2003. He is active on the Board of the Ohio Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture. He graduated from Ohio State University with his bachelors in Landscape Horticulture with a minor in Ag Business and started Russell Tree Experts with his wife Shari in 2005. Joe grew up in the Ohio Valley near Wellsville Ohio and is a resident of Worthington.
TJ loves trees. He is an avid gardener and plant collector. TJ graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Agriculture with a major in Landscape Horticulture and minor in Entomology. TJ is a Certified Arborist and well versed in Plant Pathology.
José has been a Certified Arborist since 2003 and holds degrees in Arboriculture and Biology and has been working in the tree care industry for 10 years. His favorite tree is Quercus alba (White Oak) for its potentially massive size, strong wood and slow growing habits. Jose likes doing tree work because “I’m doing the first job God gave to man at the beginning of time (Genesis 2.15).”
Shari Russell graduated magna cum laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors in Landscape Horticulture and Cultural Anthropology. She is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture and has been a Certified Arborist since 2008. She enjoys graphic design, floral design, interior design and spending time with her family in the great outdoors.
Mike has been a Certified Arborist since 2010 and in the tree care industry for almost 5 years. His favorite tree is the Quercus virginiana (Live Oak) for its big, fat low limbs. He likes tree work because he is” part of an international community that does things others would deem impossible.” His favorite climbing gear is the Singing Tree Rope Wrench and the GRCS friction device which provides climbers a safe and efficient way to dismantle a tree.
Lynn is originally from Bowling Green, Ohio and a graduate from BGSU. She has been happily married for 20 years and is the mother of two incredibly active teenagers. She’s been with RTE since 2011, loves nature, organizing, gardening, organizing, cooking, organizing, running with her dog, organizing and reading. She embraces life with a glass-half full mantra and never misses an opportunity to share a hug and a smile!
Rod has been in the tree care industry for 15 years, is a Certified Arborist and is currently the RTE Crane Operator. His favorite tree is the Quercus alba (White Oak) and especially those found in Sugar Grove Cemetery. He enjoys tree work because “every day is different and it’s a rush!” When he’s not using a Spriderjack or a Hitch Climber Pulley, he likes working on and restoring his Bronco II.
Juvé has been with RTE since 2010 and can often be found operating a bucket truck, completing tree work in record speeds with unparalleled precision and care.
Rew has been with RTE since 2011 and can often be seen cheering fellow arborists on at tree climbing competitions. When he’s not climbing himself he likes to spend time kayaking.
Stewart has been with RTE almost 7 years. He has a B.S. degree from the Colorado State University in Natural Resource and Forestry Management. The thing he likes best about RTE is TJ Nagel. When he’s not using the Mack Prentice Loader he can be found hunting, fishing or hiking.
JT started green in the tree care industry in 2010 and is now an expert climber. He even likes to climb trees in his free time! Ask him to tell you a little about his recent adventures out west, and what it was like to see a Sequoia sempervirens for the first time.
Caleb joined the team in 2012. Although he was “green” to the industry when he first started, he has more than proven to be an expert climber. Brother to fellow climber, JT, we have been wondering: Mr. & Mrs. Duffey, do you have any more sons?
Terra joined the RTE team in May of 2012. She’s the happy voice you hear on the phone! When she’s not scheduling tree work or quoting stump removals she can be found hiking, camping, boating, cooking or spending time with her family and friends.
Cindy joined Russell Tree Experts in May 2012. She is our Plant Health Care guru! She is a daughter, sister, wife, Mom, and now a Lou-Lou (Grandma). Family gatherings, gardening, crafting, cooking and down-hill skiing are a few of her favorite to-dos.
