We’d love to invite you—and your family and friends—to the inaugural IRONWOOD GAMES™, hosted by Russell Tree Experts and proudly supported by our sponsor partners, on Saturday June 14, 2025, starting at 8:00 AM at 11144 Worthington Road Pataskala, OH 43062. Admission is of no cost, it’s completely free!
Over the past year, we’ve been hard at work developing this unique event featuring 10 teams from across the U.S. competing in 12 exciting challenges—from climbing and timbersports-inspired contests to heavy equipment operation and everything in between. Plus, we’ll have 3 fantastic food vendors, a fun kids’ zone, a DJ, and much more to enjoy throughout the day.
The idea for this event started over a year ago during one of those classic Friday afternoon “what if...” conversations between me and my good friend and colleague, Jacob Nau. We sketched out a rough proposal, crossed our fingers, and received overwhelming support from Shari and Joe Russell and our other colleagues at Russell Tree Experts, and the rest, as they say, is history!
The IRONWOOD GAMES™ will showcase regional and national competitors with backgrounds in competitive climbing, forestry, and heavy equipment operation. Throughout the day, they’ll go head-to-head using chainsaws, two-person crosscut saws, ropes, handsaws, skidsteers, Sennebogen, and grapple material handlers, and more—all vying for a shot at one of three top prizes that total more than $6,000.
