Oak Pruning Window Closes March 31th

There’s still time to have your oak trees pruned before the pruning window closes on March 31st. Oak wilt is a fungal disease present in many parts of central Ohio. It is spread by Nitidulid beetles, which typically become active around mid-March. These beetles are attracted to fresh pruning wounds on oak trees and can transmit the fungal disease when they land and feed on the sap of the tree.
